1) Gather together all the information you already know about your ancestors and if possible locate any birth, marriage and death certificates you already have in your possession. Don’t worry if you haven’t got any certification it is not essential but these documents do provide a lot of information about your ancestors. Address’s, occupations, parents names etc.

2) Choose which package best suits your requirements or contact us if you aren’t sure which research package you should choose.

3) You should then complete and submit the Your-Family Tree Questionnaire. You can do this online or if you prefer it can be downloaded in PDF format (Questionnaire PDF Download) and completed by hand. If you are completing the questionnaire by hand please ensure that you use BLOCK CAPITALS throughout. Don’t worry if you can’t fill in all the boxes, sometimes even just a snippet of information is enough.

4) If you have any certificates or other documents which may assist your research you should forward photocopies to the address below. Please DO NOT send originals, photocopies are sufficient. All copy certificates etc you provide will be returned with your completed research. You should ensure that you use Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery to send your documents.

5) You should now make your payment. You may make an online payment via credit or debit card by using the add to basket option on the research services page. Follow the on screen instructions to make your secure payment. If you prefer you may send a cheque or postal order to the address below or telephone 08456123827 with your card details. Research will not commence until payment in full has been received.

How do I pay?

Full payment is required before any research commences. You can pay by cheque, cash, postal order, credit and debit card. Cheque’s & postal orders should be made payable to M Anderson Ltd, cash and postal orders are sent at your own risk and should ideally be posted using Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery. All the information you provide will be kept in the strictest confidence. Your details will be held on computer and used only for the purposes of Your-Family Tree. They will not be disclosed to any other organisation.
